Andrea Stratford - Executive & Artistic Director

Andrea has been the director of Connecticut Dance since it's conception in 1989. She is a highly trained, experienced, professional dancer who is dedicated to the instruction of proper dance technique as well as to the enjoyment of the art.

Andrea, whose love for dance is lifelong, has taught since high school and continued to instruct while attending SUNY Buffalo as a dance major. She performed with a professional production company touring throughout the United States and the Caribbean, becoming dance captain and co-choreographer as well as a performer who appeared on national television.

In 1988, after touring with the company for five years, she returned to her first love, teaching. Andrea remains current in the dance field by frequent visits to New York City to continue her own training. She has also choreographed for many local theatre productions.
